If anyone has working drivers for the LaserJet 4000n for Mac OSX 10.4 (Tiger), I would be extremely thankful if you could send them to me. The Mac G4 tower with Tiger was printing perfectly until the drivers were accidently deleted in the Print/Fax window of System Preferences. The G4 is connected to the printer via Ethernet cable. The G4 is also online via WIFI. I have spent countless days trying driver downloads and none of them have worked. The company is no longer providing phone support an this older but great printer. Please send me a message if you can help. Note: If you use a regular command prompt this won't work or if you don't run as admin it won't work either. Visual studio for mac free. Simple solution, greatly helped. Assembly successfully added to the cache Restart Visual Studio and add references at will. For those who might be using community edition or using multiple sdk environments, the gacutil.exe may not be located in the same directory as the dll. Thank you so much! Dear friend, Thank you forthe link. I have downloaded and installed the drivers. After slecting the Print & Fax option in System Preferences, I clicked the plus symbol to add the printer. Once I did this, the computer did not 'see' the printer. Here are additional questions: Once in the Printer Browser window, should I select Default Browser or IP Browser? Note: my printer is not connected to the internet with a cable. It is only connected to the G4 with an ethernet cable. If I select Default Browser, should AppleTalk be connected? Install mercurial windows. If I choose IP Printer, should I select IPP, LPD or HP Jet Direct Socket? Note: I do have the printer IP address but I'm not sure if or how to utilize it. For some reason, the computer isn't seeing the new drivers. Thank you in advance for any guidance you can offer in troubleshooting this problem. Best regards, Nick. When you say the printer is connected directly to the G4 with an ethernet cable do you mean the printer is connected to the Mac (G4) with a network cable? ![]() Or do you mean a USB cable? If you are connecting with a network cable it will need to be a crossover cable (since you are not going through a switch or router). A regular ehternet cable will not work. If you are connected via USB you should be able to discover the printer. Normally I would say use the 'Default Browser' and don't use AppleTalk, but since your computer cannot see the printer and you have an IP address you can try typing the printer IP address in the 'JetDirect Socket' option -- if you are not connected via USB. Hope this helps!
